You think you know him, but you don't.
You know only the mask he wears.
You think he is set in his convictions, but he isn't.
You don't see his doubts, his fears.
You don't see him cry at night.
You don't see his nightmares.
You think he is sure of his Destiny, but he isn't.
He doesn't know what will happen, only that it will.
What is, is.
You think he has made his peace, but he hasn't.
There is still too much to do, to see, to experience.
He doesn't want to die.
He knows what he must do.
He is the Hope for a better tomorrow.
He must fight for that tomorrow.
He does this to protect the ones he loves.
He thinks no one understands him, but he is wrong.
I understand him.
I know the man behind the mask.
I have been beside him for years, and will be beside him until the end.
He thinks he sees so much, but he doesn't.
He can't see what is right in front of him.
He can't see that I love him.
